Mirror Mirror On The Wall
In the festive season of this year’s October,
I witnessed many young people come together.
Clad in their finest and brightest motley clothes,
To dance through the night in the name of the Gods.
But most of the singles only came to mingle,
While the bored couples tried to re-kindle.
Oh shiny mirror on the wall,
What the hell is going on?
At the busy junction a young lady cried,
The by-standing policeman hitched a ride.
He was unwillingly obliged to take up the case,
A minute accident turned into a high speed chase.
I don’t know what happened later at that place,
For, I walked away minding my own business.
Mirror mirror on the wall,
What the hell is going on?
It’s been a few months since I sat down to write,
Each passing day, I asked myself if, “Am I right?”
A few years back I was in the perfect photo frame,
But now, here I am playing someone else’s game.
Every morning I look in the mirror,
Soon, I won’t be able to bare the horror.
Occupant of the mirror on the wall,
Please tell me what the hell is going on?
